Tudor dress

for the singer Hannah Morrison

Period: 1560, England

This Tudor dress was made of red and golden silk damask with the distinctive large repeat pattern. The strengthened bodice has the typical neckline: an inverted décolletage line. At the back we added a hidden cord lacing with hand-made eyelets.

The wide, fluted skirt is of extended length at the back, whereas its round shape is due to a hip roll.

A Tudor corset with removable wooden busk (flat, rounded wooden strip) ensures the necessary flat breast.
