Children's robe

Period: late 16th century

This commissioned creation for a little prince has been crafted from blue-golden silk damask fabric.
The stiffened doublet features the usual decorative shoulder wings, a high standing collar with additional piccadill, the added peplum, and the round two-piece sleeves. The front part is closed with 13 antique metal buttons. The Venetian trousers are of moderate width with light cushioning. They are closed with buttons at the front, but have an additional lacing on the rear center for adjusting the waist width.

A velvet feather beret completes the ensemble.
